Hojo Ujikuni-Ko, lord of Hachigata-jo (castle), established this temple in 1582 (Tensho 10th) which has a structure providing people with the impression of Shitsujitsu-Goken (austerity and manliness) as a temple of Sohto-shu. 606 kyo-ishi (pebble on which a sutra is written) are buried in tje sho-enfun (small round burial mound) just under the gohonzon.
