This two-story wooden post office with its outside walls being tiled was built in 1934 (Showa 9th). This building adopted the Art Deco style decoration that was gaining worldwide popularity at that time, preserving historical sceneries of the region in the beginning of Showa Period. Nakamachi Post Office is registered as a national tangible cultural heritage.
