Hyakutai Kannon-do was established to console the spirit of victims of the major eruption of Mt. Asama-san in Shinshu Region occurred in 1783 (Tenmei 3rd). This hall is a corridor-type building with two-layered appearance and three-layered structure, enshrining Hyakkannons of Saigoku, Bando and Chichibu. This hall is commonly called as ""Sazae-do"" and designated as a cultural heritage by the city.
