Hanawa Hokiichi is a world-class great person from Honjo-shi who, while developing a serious disorder of blindness, accomplished numerous remarkable deeds including the compilation of "Gunsyo-Ruiju" and the launch of "Wagaku-Kodansyo". The Memorial Museum collects and displays Hanawa Hokiichi's belongings and related materials, introducing his deeds left behind.
