This is an event to welcome the gods at Kanasana Shrine at the midnight on the 1st of November in old calendar (Shimo-zuki), which gods have been gathering at Izumo Oyashiro in that October in old calendar (Kanna-zuki). This is also an event for people to pray for the fortune and prosperity in the coming new year with buying kumade (bamboo rakes), etc. as a lucky charm on their back way home.
