"Ueki Fair" held inside the ground of Hachiman Shrine is a festival to pray for the productiveness of grain in starting farm work. Many plant merchants gather to this festival from all over the country and several fairs are held at the festival including those for ueki (garden trees), naeki (nursery trees), kusabana (flowers), hachiue (potted plants), Mokko-zaiku (woodwork) and farming tools.
