This is a big festival of Kanasana Shrine, which is known familiarly as "Chinju-no-Omatsuri" in Honjo. A dashi (float) is decorated with beautiful sculptures and elaborately engraved objects completed with gold leaves and shissai coloring as well as brilliantly designed doncho (thick curtains), coupled with the elegant sounds played by ohayashi (festival musicians) including child members, creating an atmosphere unique to a festival.
